With a charming atmosphere, excellent service, and the best meal experienced in Puerto Rico, this place was a standout. A sample of the garlic chicken was offered by the waiter, which helped make the decision to order it. The garlic chicken and mofongo were so delicious that even after feeling full, the meal was enjoyed to the last bite. The pork dish ordered by my husband was also exceptional!

On our final night in Puerto Rico, dining at El Jibarito provided a perfect conclusion to a fantastic vacation. The authentic dishes were both delicious and comforting, giving a true sense of being at home. The fresh mofongo and arroz con habichuelas were particularly memorable, with our family sampling a variety of dishes.

Some areas in Old San Juan had servers who appeared to have a bit of a chip on their shoulders when serving Americans. However, this restaurant stood out as an exception. The waitress was wonderfully attentive, taking the time to explain everything in detail. The food matched the service in satisfaction. Although the portion of shrimp was on the smaller side, it was still incredibly delicious.

The food was excellent! The bacalaitos were perfect with a crispy texture, and while the empanadillas de pizza were decent, they could have used more filling. The rice and pastel were outstanding. Although the wait for two people was manageable, larger groups on busy days might expect a 20-30 minute wait.

YUM!!! The meal at El Jibarito left a lasting impression! The Sandwich El Jibarito was outstanding, with garlic butter that elevated the entire dish. The meat was seasoned to perfection, and the plantains had a delightful texture and crunch. The rice and beans as well. The fried pork chop enjoyed by my husband was equally delicious. The service is good. Atmosphere was inviting. For a great dining experience, this place is highly recommended!
